True to Garmin fashion, the Fenix 7x comes with amazing satellite support. The Multi-GNSS feature taps on multiple satellite frequencies for greater accuracy. For a runner, it’s helped me track point-to-point distance ensuring that I’m keeping up with distance and not over-training. So far, even in heavily built-up Singapore, the data I’ve recorded has been super exact.
Understated but necessary, smartwatch owners who mainly operate touch screens, will know that buttons are super welcomed in the sweatiest situations. Weirdl, almost backwards, but useful feature. Buttons. Always. Work.
But the modern-day smartwatch killer feature (try saying that 5 times) has got to be the undying battery. Honestly, I charge the Fenix 7 once every 1.5 weeks to 2 weeks with almost daily use. The watch is designed to last up to 28 days with solar (7X) and comes with a built-in solar charger which is capable of charging on-the-go.
For the amateur runner looking to up their game, the built-in flashlight that flashes to a cadence is a big plus. This feature itself gives me the extra confidence to run at night, where lawless e bikes and bicycles zoom through the neighborhood. I haven’t had any encounters ever since I’ve switched on this feature for my 6am runs. Defensive riding running is the new way to go.

When buying a smartwatch, I ask myself what is the true purpose of the watch. For me, it’s about day to day convenience and the ability to measure my workouts. The Garmin Fenix 7 Series is jam packed with all kinds of sports which you can track, from running, swimming, bouldering, cycling to even winter sports like skiing or skydiving. The ability to hold a long charge is immediately welcomed.
And an added cherry on top definitely has to be how sleek and professional the watch looks. Coming in three different sizes and different glass types and even straps, the Garmin Fenix 7 series is a premium and professional offering that’s perfect for the modern millennial. It comes at a price, but with all things considered, the watch is super worth it. Plus, you don’t want to look like just another dude with a touchscreen smart watch. *ahem*
