Jabra’s new PanaCast 50 video bar offers answers to our video conferencing needs

The Covid-19 pandemic has dragged on for more than a year and seems to show no signs of abating. Audio brand Jabra has launched a new video bar – PanaCast 50 – in response to these challenging video conferencing needs by businesses.

With three 13-megapixel cameras, the PanaCast 50 uses real-time video stitching technology to create a 180-degree point of view covering the whole of your meeting room. So, everyone can be seen during those long video conference calls.

In addition, the PanaCast 50 uses artificial intelligence and digital zoom to detect an active speaker, automatically adjust the frame and zoom into the speaker. This allows for a more seamless and responsive session, instead of the multiple “Can you hear me?” heard in video conferences these days.

The video bar also features eight beam forming microphones that comes with active noise cancellation to remove noises such as air conditioning or next-room chatter. Thus, the other party can always hear you loud and clear.

Not to mention, you can even set the number of participants in your meeting room to adhere to Covid-19 regulations. For instance, you can set your meeting room limit to 5 people. Once the PanaCast 50 detects that there are 6 people, it will remind you that the room has exceeded its head count.

The PanaCast 50 is certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Zoom Rooms. But it is optimised for use with all leading video conferencing platforms, according to Jabra.

Priced at S$1,855, the Jabra PanaCast 50 video bar is available in black and grey at all Jabra authorised resellers.
