The new Apple Homepod has just been announced and it looks like a game-changer in the world of speakers. It boasts spatial sound, which creates an immersive audio experience, and you can even pair two Homepods together for stereo sound. You can also chat with Siri and get answers to your questions, as well as syncing it with your smart home devices.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to snag the new Apple Homepod in Singapore through official channels such as the Apple Store just yet. However, you can still purchase an imported set from other countries. If you’re looking for similar capabilities, there are other smart home speakers available that can do just as good of a job or even better. These speakers also offer similar features like stereo pairing, voice assistants, and smart home integration.
Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen)
The Google Nest Mini is a simple and affordable smart speaker option that allows you to have hands-free help in any room of your house. Sonos One
The Sonos One speaker is a great option for those already in the Sonos ecosystem. It allows you to pair two of them together for stereo sound, and it also comes with the Google Assistant built-in, making it easy to control your smart devices at home. If you’re concerned about privacy, the Sonos One SL is also available, which is the same speaker without the microphone. Additionally, you can pair the Sonos One with the Sonos Beam soundbar for a complete surround sound home theater setup. Comes in two colours, White and Black at RRP of S$349 from TCAcoustic or Shopee.
