Launched earlier this year in March, PRISM+ strengthened their positioning in the home appliances landscape with the PureFresh and EverShine Refrigerators.
Overall Look and Feel
While both PureFresh and EverShine series come in different sizes, my 506sqft apartment has limited space and I opted for the PureFresh TMF 330 – the smallest of the PureFresh series. The surface of the fridge is coated in a premium finish – Black Inox – which gives it a classy feel.
Storage Capacity
This top mount design comes with 333L storage capacity, more than sufficient for couples or a small family of three to store food items. With 256L fridge capacity, and 77L freezer capacity, PureFresh TMF 330 is slightly bigger than my previous fridge from another brand. ‘Slightly bigger’ is a conservative way to describe the increase in storage space – porting over the same amount of items from my old fridge into this one somehow left me with a fair bit of empty space. This definitely took me by surprise.
Energy Saving
The high efficiency compressor is said to be specifically engineered for savings, and unlike traditional compressors, this can save you up to 26% on energy costs. With other refrigerators typically only having 2/5 ticks energy rating, PureFresh TMF 330 comes with 3/5.
Effective Air Filters
I’m used to storing half eaten food items, fresh vegetables, fruits, and sometimes strong smelling items in the fridge. After using PureFresh TMF 330 for about a week, I was relieved that the claims of the fridge housing a high-grade blend of ceramic and activated carbon air filters to remove impurities such as odour and bacteria rings true. My fridge is still smelling fresh – so yay! This helps to lower risks of cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses.
Yay or Nay?
I’ve always had frost issues with all my previous fridges, and so far, I haven’t experienced that with the PureFresh TMF 330. The cooling system in both the fridge and freezer is pretty solid as well – with the vents being placed strategically to keep a consistent flow of cold air. I’d have to use it for a longer period of time to assess the fridge to the best of its abilities, but for now, it’s a yay from me.
Warranty Period
Most refrigerator brands only offer up to 10 years of warranty, and PRISM+ offers up to 12 years for the inverter compressor – giving the brand an edge over its competitors.
