Back in 2023, I reviewed the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde and found that it was quite bulky for a small living space – but effective, if you have enough space for it. Fast forward two years to the present, Dyson’s latest air purifier is one of the best investments you can make for your house – especially if you don’t have too much space to place the Big+Quiet.
Design & Usability
If you are used to the Dyson purifier lineup, the HushJet™ will feel familiar in terms of look and feel. Sporting the same tall cylindrical silhouette as the Big+Quiet, the HushJet™ is designed to be their most discreet air purifier yet. Taking everything that Dyson does so well in terms of distribution of airflow, filtration and a sleek design that fits into most aesthetics, the HushJet™ also features the same effortless plug-and-play setup as all of their products.
What stood out immediately was how little sound it makes. On night mode, it barely made a peep – even quieter than the most quiet bladeless fans out there. At high airflow speed, the noise remains low-frequency, which blends easily as background sound – making it ideal to use it daily without even knowing it’s there.
Performance
Leveraging a new air multiplier design that delivers full-room circulation with minimal turbulence, the HushJet™ does feel effective in an everyday setting. I tested it in a medium-sized bedroom, and within 20 minutes, the air felt noticeably fresher and lighter – especially when the windows were closed.
The HushJet™ uses Dyson’s standard HEPA and activated carbon filtration – which is capable of capturing 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns such as allergens. Pets can bring undesirable odors and allergens into the home – and coming from someone who has a cat and two dogs – I am too familiar with this. My cat sheds quite a bit, and the HushJet™ is able to make the room feel fresher after working for a bit.

The HushJet™ pairs seamlessly with the Dyson app, allowing you to see live air quality data, adjust settings remotely, and set schedules easily. Intelligent particle sensing detects PM2.5 particles – reacting and adapting airflow to quickly purify the air without the need for your to adjust any settings manually.

Yay or Nay?
What I love about the HushJet™ is that it sits quietly in the corner of my bedroom – without being in the way of my daily life. It’s virtually noise-less and you can barely notice its presence when you have it switched on, and I like that it works nicely in my bedroom (while the Big+Quiet works its magic in the living space). It feels like a very solid addition for anyone looking for a new air purifier that’s easy to maintain and use.
