As Singapore starts the “semi-lockdown” tomorrow (May 16) due to tightened Covid-19 measures, an affordable ultra-portable laptop like the new AfterShock Lunar Z14 (from S$1,550) might just be what you need.

After all, it is better to get a lightweight laptop, so you can easily toggle between working in office and working from home.

The Lunar Z14 features a slim minimalistic design with black magnesium alloy chassis. It is only 15mm thick and weighs a mere 1.05kg. Perfect for you to lug from your office to home on MRT train or bus.

It has a 14-inch WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which makes it suitable for both work and leisure. Battery life is rated up to 11 hours, according to its maker. Thus, you will not waste time and continue to work, even when you are commuting.

In the inside, the Lunar Z14 is armed with the latest 11th-generation i7-11370H processor with Iris Xe integrated graphics for the everyday grind to finish your work. In addition, it can be expanded up to 32GB of system memory as well as up to 4TB flash storage with its 2 NVMe solid-state drives.

Furthermore, the laptop comes with a myriad of connectivity options, including Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A and HDMI. Thus, you can plug the Lunar Z14 to an external graphics processing unit via Thunderbolt 4 when you need to play graphics-intensive games.

If you are interested, you can start customising the Lunar Z14 to your liking on the Aftershock website with pricing starting from S$1,550.
