Dyson launches first cordless vacuum cleaner with laser detection technology

British home appliance maker Dyson has upped the ante for cordless vacuum cleaners with its latest V12 Detect Slim.

This new machine is engineered to detect hidden dust as small as 10 microns, thanks to its laser dust detection system. When the angled green laser integrated into a Fluffy cleaner head is turned on, it is able to reveal dust particles that are normally invisible to the naked eye.

In addition, the Dyson V12 Detect Slim is equipped with an acoustic piezo sensor that shows you the size and number of particles via a LCD screen sited at end of the machine. You can thus know scientifically the amount of microscopic dust particles collected.

Furthermore, the new vacuum cleaner comes with a new anti-tangle conical brush bar that spirals hair off and into the bin. This prevents the wrapping of hair around the brush bar.

The Dyson V12 Detect Slim is priced from S$899 and available today at Dyson Online Store.
