DJI Avata 2 Announced

The all-new DJI Avata 2 just got announced and its designed to be paired with the DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC Motion 3.

The DJI Goggles 3 come with adjustable diopters and two micro-OLED screens that deliver a 10-bit enhanced display. They boast a super-smooth refresh rate of up to 100Hz and offer ultra-low-latency transmission. Plus, they feature binocular cameras that give you a view of your surroundings, which can be overlaid with the live feed from your aircraft. This Real View PiP (Picture-In-Picture) tech enhances both your immersive experience and safety, giving you effortless situational awareness without having to take off your goggles.

Upgraded Image Quality

The Avata 2 steps up its game with a bigger image sensor, featuring a 1/1.3-inch CMOS Super-Wide-Angle 12MP Camera. This upgrade expands the dynamic range and improves performance in low-light conditions. Plus, its ultra-wide-angle lens gives you up to a 155° viewing angle, perfect for those unique perspectives and tight shots that make your footage stand out from the rest.

Capture immersive aerial photography and HDR videography at up to 4K/60fps with the Avata 2. You can also shoot slow-motion footage at 2.7K/120fps. With its 10-bit D-Log M Colour mode, this drone lets you capture rich detail in highlights and shadows, capturing the best footage, making it easy during post-production editing and colour grading.

The Avata 2 comes with 46GB of internal storage, allowing you to store around 90 minutes of 1080p/60fps video. Its Wi-Fi connectivity makes it easy to transfer files to your smartphone for quick post-editing and sharing, streamlining your workflow.

Even when you’re pulling off high-flying stunts, the DJI Avata 2 keeps your videos looking sharp and stable. It’s got a powerful stabilisation algorithm and technologies from DJI. DJI RockSteady makes sure your footage stays smooth even at high speeds or in windy conditions. And with DJI HorizonSteady, your footage stays level with the horizon, even if your drone is doing sharp turns or big swings.

Plus, when you’re not using the EIS setting, the Avata 2 supports Gyroflow, so you can stabilise your footage even more during editing.

Longer Flight Times

The Avata 2 can stay in the air for up to 23 minutes and supports PD fast charging, so you can get it back up in the sky in no time. Plus, its new Two-Way Charging Hub can transfer power from multiple batteries to the one with the highest charge, giving you an “extra battery” when you need it most.

With the new O4 video transmission, the Avata 2 can send video up to 13 km away with a transmission latency as low as 24 ms. You’ll get 1080p/100fps high-definition image quality and a maximum transmission bitrate of 60Mbps.
