Apple introduces Apple Invites: A new way to plan gatherings and more

Planning a get-together just got a whole lot easier! Apple just introduced Apple Invites, a new app designed to help iPhone users create and share invitations effortlessly. Whether it’s a birthday bash, a family reunion, or a casual catch-up, Apple Invites lets you design custom invites, manage RSVPs, contribute to Shared Albums, and even set up event playlists on Apple Music. Starting today, you can download Apple Invites from the App Store or access it online at icloud.com/invites. If you’re an iCloud+ subscriber, you can create invitations, but the beauty of Apple Invites is that anyone can RSVP – even if they don’t have an Apple account or Apple device.

Personalized Invitations That Capture Every Moment

Getting started with Apple Invites is a breeze. You can pick an image from your photo library or choose from a beautifully curated selection of backgrounds that match different occasions. The app also integrates with Maps and Weather, so your guests can easily find directions and check the weather forecast before heading to your event – handy for outdoor picnics or gatherings at the beach!

Smarter Invitations with Apple Intelligence

Thanks to Apple Intelligence, making unique invitations is now fun, and easy. The Image Playground feature helps generate creative images based on your descriptions or existing photos. Struggling to find the right words? The built-in Writing Tools can suggest tone-appropriate invitation text that matches the occasion, whether it’s a birthday party, a wedding tea ceremony, or a weekend brunch.

Easy Event Management for Hosts and Guests

Hosts have full control over their events, and there’s a bunch of intuitive features you can take advantage of if you’re the host. You can track RSVPs, tweak event details, and decide what information guests can see, like your home address or event background. Sharing invites is simple – just send a link via Apple Invites. Guests can RSVP from their iPhone Apple Invites app or on the web, if they don’t have an Apple device or an iCloud+ subscription. Plus, attendees can manage their privacy settings, choose how their details appear to others, and even leave or report an event if needed.

Availability

Apple Invites is available today as a free download from the App Store for all iPhone models running iOS 18 or later. You can also access Apple Invites here.
