There’s so much more to using your iPad to maximise productivity on all fronts, and we’re here to help!
Here are 4 solid tips for you to be an efficient maestro at maximising your iPad productivity.
TIP #1: GROUP TABS ON SAFARI
I’m definitely guilty of having 1 million tabs open at the same time on my iPad’s Safari app – making it super challenging to find what I need quickly when I’m rushing work. Imagine my surprise when I found out that I could easily group tabs on Safari and categorise them by topics?!
Shifting and dropping in several links into their own groups on Safari has been a game changer for me – I can even copy and paste the group’s links into my Notes app with ease! No more scrambling to find a specific tab while planning for trips or work anymore, yay!
TIP #2: QUICK NOTES
On that note, did you know that you could swipe from the bottom right of your screen to pull up the Notes app without scrolling through your apps on the iPad to find the Notes app? Well, I didn’t know that – and it has been frankly the most efficient way I take notes in meetings these days.
TIP #3: SOUND ISOLATION
I have two furkids at home, so sometimes when I work from home, their barking gets a little too loud especially when I’m on work calls with colleagues. I had no clue that the iPad had THREE audio options – Standard, Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum. Voice Isolation essentially kicks your iPad (works on iPhone & Macbook too) into high gear by processing the audio coming into your mic to remove background noise. If you’re constantly on calls – this works like magic.
All you have to do is to pull down your Control Centre while in a WhatsApp call / FaceTime, select Voice Isolation, and you’d sound crisp on all your calls! I tried it when my furkids were barking in the background, and Voice Isolation worked its charm – the background noise disappeared. Talk about ~magic~.
TIP #4: FOCUS MODE
This isn’t new news, but I personally find this mode super helpful especially during weekends when I want some downtime from work.. Or life in general.
With Focus Mode, you can set up to 3 different modes to restrict certain people from calling you and app notifications to fit your lifestyle seamlessly. When you’ve selected a Focus in your Settings and customise it to your preferences, you can turn on Focus directly from Control Center by touching and holding Focus and selecting the Focus you want to turn on. Work-life balance, here we come!
