Tesla’s US$50 “Cyberwhistle” is sold out

In case you have missed it, Tesla was selling the Cyberwhistle. It is just a glorified metallic whistle. Shaped like Tesla Cybertruck, this is a limited-edition whistle that is made from medical-grade stainless steel with a polished finish.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was mocking Apple’s S$29 Polishing Cloth. However, this polishing cloth is currently sold out. You have to wait till Jan to get your hands on one in Singapore.

But now, his company is selling something equally expensive and useless product. In fact, Mr Musk even tweeted: “Don’t waste your money on that silly Apple Cloth, buy our whistle instead!”

The US$50 whistle is said to include an integrated attachment feature for added versatility. In other words, it just has a hole for you to thread a string or lanyard through. Truth be told, this Cyberwhistle does indeed look very cool. I wouldn’t mind getting one myself, since I cannot afford the Model 3.

Unfortunately, this Cyberwhistle is also sold out, much like Apple’s Polishing Cloth. It looks like a lot of Tesla’s fans are heeding the advice of Mr Musk after all.

Started out with dreams to become a street photographer, Trevor Tan somehow became a tech journalist with over 16 years of consumer tech experience. Maybe he plays too much video games and buys too many new gadgets.
