Sony has introduced new models, including the Z9J 8K LED, A90J 4K OLED, A80J 4K OLED, X95J 4K LED and X90J 4K LED, to its Bravia series TVs that will be coming to Singapore soon.
All the above 2021 Bravia XR models come with Sony’s latest TV processor, the Cognitive Processor XR. This new processor is said to mimic how our brains process images. It uses advanced artificial intelligence to cross-analyse an array of picture elements, such as details, colour and contrast, and adjust each element in real time for the best result. This “cognitive processor” even analyse sound position to match the moving images on the screen.
In addition, all the new Bravia XR TVs feature Google TV platform allowing you to easily download apps, such as Netflix and Disney+, to watch the latest shows as well as offering hands-free voice control and support for Google Assistant-enabled devices.
Furthermore, these new TVs support HDMI 2.1 for 4K images at 120 frames per second, making them superb to use with the next-generation consoles like Sony PlayStation 5.
The flagship model this year is the Z9J 8K LED TV. Available only in 85 inches and priced at a whopping $26,999, the Z9J features a full array LED panel, 8K upscaling and Acoustic Multi-Audio technology for cinematic surround sound.
The A90J (from $5,999) is the top OLED TV model for Sony this year. Available in 55 inches and 65 inches, it comes with 4K upscaling, XR OLED Contrast Pro technology for better image contrast and Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology for more accurate sound positioning.
On the other hand, the A80J OLED TV only has XR OLED Contrast technology without the “Pro”. Otherwise, it is almost as good as the A90J but cheaper with its price starting from $3,999. And it will be available in more sizes of 55 inches, 65 inches and 77 inches.
The X95J (starting from $4,499; available in 65 inches and 85 inches) and X90J (starting from $2,599; available in 50 inches, 55 inches, 65 inches and 75 inches) are the top tier Sony 4K LED TVs this year. The difference between the two models is the X95J has less reflection and offers wider viewing angle.
These new 2021 Sony Bravia XR range of TVs will be available here gradually from Apr 2021 onwards.
