RazerCon 2021: Razer Zephyr RGB mask available now; Kraken V3 Pro gaming headset and PC components announced

Gaming brand Razer has announced several new products during its keynote address at RazerCon 2021 this morning. Mr Tan Min Liang, Razer’s CEO, announced that the company’s highly-anticipated Zephyr RGB mask (formerly Project Hazel) is available now on Razer Online Store.

Priced at S$159.90, the Zephyr features two air exchange chambers that allow freshly-filtered air to flow freely for easy breathing. In addition, there are two fans – easily activated using a built-in button – that help to circulate air even better if needed. It also features replaceable N95-grade filters for both inhaled and exhaled air to protect you and the ones around you.

And it will not be a Razer product if there is no RGB lighting. The Zephyr has external RGB lightings on two of its air intakes as well as internal lighting, so your friends can see whether you are smiling or frowning.

At the same time, Razer also unveiled its Kraken V3 Pro gaming headset (S$329.90, coming soon on Razer Online Store). It comes with advanced haptic drivers called Intelligent Haptics with Razer HyperSense, which is said to offer more natural life-like sensations for greater immersion and positional accuracy.

In addition, the haptics are executed in real time requiring no integration to your computer. All adjustments are done on the headset itself. And you can easily adjust the intensity of the haptics with an on-headset button. Furthermore, its Razer TriForce 50mm titanium drivers offer superb audio output while its plush leatherette headband and ear cup cushions offer long-lasting comfort.

Perhaps, the biggest surprise of RazerCon 2021 is the announcement of Razer making in-roads into PC components. To start, Razer launched the Kunai (from S$79). They are high-performance PC case fans available with the industry’s latest hydraulic bearing technology. Available this month, these cutting-edge fans are designed for maximum airflow performance and are optimised to cool the PC quietly. Available in 120mm and 140mm, the fans feature LEDs with a large array of aRGB lighting capabilities to fit the form and style of any gaming PC.

At the same time, Razer also launched a new Pulse Width Modulator Fan Controller (S$79) designed to support up to eight Kunai fans. Also available this month, the fan controller integrates with Razer Synapse software for customised control to improve airflow and thermal fan performance of your gaming PC. Both Kunai and the fan controller will be available this month.

In addition, there is the Razer Hanbo series that will be available next month. They are all-in-one (AIO) liquid coolers available in an addressable RGB pump cap. Created in partnership between Razer and Asetek, these AIO liquid coolers offer maximum thermal cooling performance of your PCs. Available in 240mm and 360mm radiator sizes, it features an optimised pump intake design for silent operation and improved reliability, including customisable and addressable RGB lighting.

Finally, Razer even has a RGB lighting power supply unit (PSU) with Katana. Available in wattages from 750W to 1,200W in a platinum rating as well as an exclusive 1,600W titanium-rated power supply, the Katana are fully-modular ATX PSUs that deliver the power needed with the reliability and CPU/GPU support you desire. The full line includes a zero RPM aRGB fan and full Razer Chroma compatibility. Unfortunately, Katana will only ship in the first quarter of 2022.
