Pokemon Fans Devastated As Team Rocket Disbands

The most recent episode of Pokémon Journeys: The Series was just broadcasted in Japan on Friday, causing panic among fans. As the anime’s final season, fans had anticipated a satisfying conclusion to Team Rocket’s storyline, but the episode left them disappointed instead. Even those who dislike Team Rocket believe that the infamous team deserved a better outcome.

Ash and Pikachu’s 25-year journey is coming to an end, as they embark on their final season together. The iconic duo recently achieved the status of champions, triumphing over the Galar champion, Leon.

However, with only 11 episodes left to tie up loose ends, fans are dismayed by the apparent split of Team Rocket. This abrupt turn of events has come as a massive shock to viewers who have watched the trio’s bond grow over the course of more than 1,000 episodes, but it has indeed happened.

In the ninth episode of the final Aim To Be A Pokémon Master arc, the notorious Team Rocket trio reunites with their former Pokémon from previous seasons. Determined to capture Pikachu, which they have failed to do since their debut in 1997, they put up a valiant fight.

However, their opponent happens to be none other than the reigning Pokémon champion of the world, making their efforts ultimately futile.

Although Pikachu may not be the most powerful Pokémon, it’s hard not to acknowledge Team Rocket’s persistence in their goal to capture it. They have held onto this pursuit for over a thousand episodes, making them some of the most persistent characters in the series. Even though their goal may have been unrealistic, the trio deserves some credit for their tenacity.

In the end, despite the combined strength of their former partners, they still fail to capture Pikachu. Their efforts are thwarted by the legendary Pokémon Latias, and they’re sent “blasting off” to another location. After much arguing, the trio decides to disband Team Rocket.

The news of Team Rocket’s disbandment has left fans feeling disappointed. Despite being the antagonists of the anime, Jessie, James, and Meowth’s popularity has played a significant role in the show’s success. As one fan put it, “It’s like if a band breaks up suddenly during a concert and leaves on bad terms.”

If the trio had split in the middle of a season, fans might have expected a possible reunion. However, with only two episodes remaining and the plot centered around the legendary Pokémon Latias, it seems unlikely that they will reconcile. Fans are struggling to come to terms with whether or not there will be a resolution to the trio’s story by the series’ end.

Some fans are pessimistic about the trio’s fate and feel that Team Rocket deserved a better conclusion after their years of service. Over the course of several years, it was evident that the three were like an unconventional family.

Personally to me, I feel like there will be one more episode with Team Rocket, I don’t believe they can disband just like that and leave on such bad terms especially for a show aimed at children. Maybe they will try one more time, reconcile and start a Poke Cafe together. I would love to watch a Cafe run by the trio and all the hijinks that will ensue.

But only time will tell as the last two episodes of Aim To Be A Pokémon Master will air in Japan on March 17 and 24 respectively.
