Every week, there are plenty of new products emerging in the consumer tech realm. At times, it becomes impossible to cover all of them. Here, we pick the new products of the week and deliver them to you in bite-size format.

Huawei P50 Pocket

The new P50 Pocket is Huawei’s latest foldable smartphone that is reminiscent of flip phones of the old. The P50 Pocket features a new-generation multi-dimensional hinge and lifting design to achieve a seamless fold and slim form factor.

When unfolded, the P50 Pocket becomes a 6.9-inch 21:9 smartphone that is perfect for cinematic content. Even when folded, there is a circular Cover Screen that delivers notifications and allows you to access certain information quickly without having to unfold the smartphone.

Casio G-Shock MTG-B2000XMG
S$1,699, available in Casio Store

Casio has added a new addition into its premium G-Shock MT-G series with the MTG-B2000XMG. It boasts a multicolour carbon bezel made by laminating carbon with coloured glass fibre.

This laminating process yields a random multi-layered pattern, which shows strata of different colours. As such, no two MTG-B2000XMG will look alike. The multicolour face design complements the hues of the bezel.

LG UltraGear Gaming Speaker GP9
S$699, available in Lazada and Shopee

If you prefer gaming speaker over gaming headset, you might want to take a look at LG’s new UltraGear Gaming Speaker GP9. It utilises LG’s proprietary 3D Gaming Sound technology, which incorporates a specially-designed HRTF (head-related transfer function) algorithm, to tailor a game’s audio according to its genre.

Thus, you can expect to experience stunningly detailed virtual surround sound complete with a realistic sense of space, position and directionality, according to LG. The GP9 also features Game Genre Optimiser with two modes that can customise game audio to match what you are playing.

Cooler Master MasterLiquid PL-Flux Series
From S$229, available in Lazada and Shopee

Looking to better cool your gaming PC? You might want to consider the new Cooler Master MasterLiquid PL-Flux Series. This cooling system uses a high-speed dual chamber pump, with each of the chambers engineered to direct water flow. Thus, it can focus on targeting heat spots for a more effective and efficient exchange of heat.

The contact surface to the CPU has also been levelled and evened out to maximise contact uniformity, which enhances the efficiency of heat transfer. Cooler Master’s signature Air Balance inter-connecting fan blades reinforce stability but yet maintain a gap between the inner wall of the frame to increase air pressure for better cooling.
