The Logitech G335 wired gaming headset is part of the company’s colourful gaming peripheral series. It is available in black, white and mint.
But in Singapore, this affordable gaming headset is available in only two colours of black and white at S$99. The mint one, which might be be best colour, is unfortunately not available here. We reviewed the white version.

DESIGN
In terms of looks, the G335 looks like a watered-down wired version of Logitech’s G733 premium wireless gaming headset.
Apart from the memory foam cushions of the ear cups and the elastic headband strap, the rest of the G335 – from the headband’s top to the microphone – comes in all white.
It is a nice departure from the all-black designs that dominate the gaming peripherals landscape. But given this entry-level price tag, it does not have any RGB lighting or customisable keys. All you get is an adjustable microphone and a volume dial on the left ear cup. And you do get a PC Y-splitter, for separate microphone and headphone jacks.

However, the elastic headband strap is adjustable, thanks to two notches above each ear cup for you to insert according to your head size. The strap is also reversible and removable, for you to “change” colour. Not to mention, this strap is also washable.
This elastic headband strap contours nicely to the your head shape and does not “press” on your head like some headbands do. Adding to the comfort level is the super comfortable memory foam cushions that cup my ears nicely and offering them ample space to breathe.
Perhaps, the best part about the G335 is its weight, or rather the lack of it. Its lightweight adds much to the increased comfort level compared to some gaming headsets that I have reviewed. You can seriously game the whole day using this gaming headset without any discomfort.
PERFORMANCE
As mentioned earlier, being an entry-level budget gaming headset, you will not expect G335 to have any of the bells and whistles found in its high-end peers or counterparts.
On the bright side, it is seriously a plug-and-play gaming headset for any device having a 3.5mm port, including your PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or Nintendo Switch gaming consoles.
Plug it to my iMac, I can immediately use it for video chats. And no one seems to be complaining they cannot hear me. The G335’s microphone is adjustable but not detachable. But I like the fact that the microphone will automatically mute when you flip it up.
Next, I plug G335 to my gaming rig and can use it immediately to play any game – from Cyberpunk 2077 to Diablo III – without any issues.
Of course, you do need to select the G335 as the input and output audio device in settings of either Windows or Mac machine when you are using it. Otherwise, there are no device drivers or software to install in order to use the gaming headset.
The G335 comes with 40mm neodymium drivers to deliver pretty solid audio. While the bass is not powerful, they are distinct and not muffled. You can still hear clearly the shouts of your teammates or non-player characters amidst the rumble of explosions and shrieking bullets. Overall, the audio performance is really good for its price.
On the downside, there is no active noise cancellation or surround sound. So, you can pretty much hear your neighbours drilling or your spouse complaining during your virtual battles.
This is probably a no-brainer but please remember the G335 does not have any wireless connectivity. Just in case, you want to get it for your smartphone that does not have a 3.5mm jack.
VERDICT
If you are looking for an affordable wired gaming headset with good audio output, the Logitech G335 is probably the one for you.
