What’s In the Box?
It comes packed with the USB dongle of your choice, (USB-A or USB-C) for either UC or Teams edition. Additionally, a set of 5 different silicone tip sizes ensure the perfect fit for anyone’s ear sizes. The earbuds and USB dongle fit perfectly in its case that supports wireless charging on a pad that comes separately.
Connectivity
The earphones are compatible with Bluetooth 5.2 and support the AAC and SBC codecs, but not aptX. They are also capable to simultaneously connect to more than one Bluetooth device. These have excellent connectivity with no audio drop-outs that’s essential for important calls. It comes with a USB adapter, which is uncommon for regular TWS earbuds. This allows for that stable connection, when you take calls on UC (Unified Communications), and another model for Microsoft Teams.
Sound Quality
Evolve2 Buds enable users to have high-quality conversations with Jabra MultiSensor Voice™, which uses a unique combination of four microphones, bone conduction sensors, and advanced algorithms to block out as much of the surrounding noise as possible. The Jabra Evolve2 Buds also uses the Jabra Sound+ app that allows for in-app customisation for ANC and EQ settings.
Ergonomics/Comfort/Features
The silicone tips are designed for long hours of use. They are perfect for extending into leisure time after taking long calls during work hours. You get to enjoy your music on the commute back home while making use of the excellent ANC, blocking out all ambient noise from traffic that’s around you. You can also control your music by tapping the side of the earbuds. The auto-pause feature whenever you remove one side of the earbuds is a simple feature but greatly improves the user experience.
Conclusion
The Jabra Evolve2 Buds are a great companion for someone who gets on work calls frequently. ANC works well and the superb battery life is great to have, with a fast-charge feature that brings up your 0% battery with 1 hour play-time in 5 minutes. In-app customisation was a great win for me, with the lack of aptX being quite unfortunate, but not a deal-breaker. If I wanted hi-fi audio, I’d bust out my wired setup anyway. The Jabra Evolve2 Buds is available now at the RRP of S$424 at Jabra official store or on Shopee.
