Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex: They Meant Business!

Many people now lead hybrid work lives, however, many people are still using unoptimised audio equipment such as consumer headsets for their hybrid work.

The Jabra Evolve 2 65 Flex is designed for hybrid professionals who needs a lightweight headset that’s capable of delivering high quality audio especially in virtual collaboration. You can take a call from anywhere and even if you are in a noisy environment, you will be heard clearly by others on the call. When you are not in a meeting, it provides hours of comfortable music and entertainment listening.

The packaging that it comes in is environmentally friendly with minimal plastics. The box is also a recyclable cardboard box, with the headset itself being stored in the included fabric pouch that is you can use to carry the headphones around when you’re transporting it.

The headset features a distinctive fold-and-go design with a concealed fold-out boom microphone, exceptional Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), advanced Jabra ClearVoice microphone technology for isolating voices, and certification for popular virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom. There’s also a red light that you can turn on when you’re on a call so that people around you are aware that you’re engaged.

Audio Quality and Comfort

When in calls, my voice is clear and not at all muffled. The ANC works really well to block out ambient noise around me especially when the meeting rooms are all unavailable and I have to take a call in the office pantry. The headphone clamp is also just nice without being overly tight. The comfortable leatherette earpads are conveniently labeled with left and right, which is perfect for me since I’m particular about audio orientation.

Connectivity

The headset offers wireless Bluetooth connectivity to two devices simultaneously, such as a laptop and smartphone. To ensure optimal connectivity within a range of up to 30 meters, use the included Jabra Link 380 Bluetooth adapter with your computer or laptop. With ANC turned off, the battery provides up to 20 hours of talk time or up to 32 hours of music playback. With ANC activated, the talk time is up to 15 hours, and music playback can last up to 21 hours. Charging is possible via USB-C. If wires are too much of a hassle, there’s a dock that’s included, so you can just leave it to charge when you’re not using the headset.

Innovative Design

The buttons on the headset allows you to access frequently used functions like play/pause music or to answer and reject calls. There’s also a dedicated Microsoft Teams button to bring the software to foreground and join active Teams meeting. You can also fire up your favourite Voice Assistant, be it Siri, Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.

In-App Customisation

Further customisation of the Jabra Evolve 2 65 Flex is possible by downloading the app on your device. You can tweak the level of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and HearThrough right from the app. If you’re a music buff, there’s also presets that you can choose from and also a 5 point EQ that you can adjust from.

Conclusion

All in all, the Jabra Evolve 2 65 Flex is a great office headphones especially if you’re always taking calls on-the-go or in noisy environments. My favourite features for this headphones is the capability of in-app customisation and also the super convenient charging dock. It’s definitely not cheap but considering what its capable of, the price definitely matches its capability.

It comes in several options, optimised for Microsoft Teams or Unified Communications, USB-A or USB-C and you can also choose to include the Charging Stand.

Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex starts at S$518 RRP at Jabra official store.
