Huawei launches new monitors MateView and MateView GT, available in Singapore soon

US-China trade war? Google Mobile Services ban? No problem. Huawei is entering the monitor market instead. Welcome Huawei’s MateView and MateView GT.

The Huawei MateView is targeted at everyone who needs a monitor for productivity and content creation. It features a sleek 28.2-inch 3:2 display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,560 pixels.

With support 98 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 100 percent of the sRGB colour gamut, it is a boon for content creators.

Furthermore, it has all the ports you ever need, including two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, one HDMI port, one mini-DisplayPort and one 3.5mm audio jack.

On the other hand, the Huawei MateView GT is built for gamers in mind. It has an ultra-wide 34-inch curved display with a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels.

The highlight has to be its integrated RGB soundbar that doubles up as the monitor base. This soundbar features two full-range speakers and built-in dual-microphone array for loud and clear audio both ways.

Unlike conventional monitors with only 60Hz refresh rate, the MateView GT has a 165Hz refresh rate. It also comes with FreeSync Premium support, to prevent screen tearing and ensure smooth gameplay.

The Huawei MateView and MateView GT monitors are expected to be available in Singapore by Aug this year. No details on local pricing yet.
