HP launches Instant Ink – Singapore’s first ink subscription service

Everyone knows the struggle of having to print something urgently, only to find out that the printer is out of ink. To ensure this scenario never happens, HP has rolled out Instant Ink – Singapore’s first ink cartridge subscription service for home printers.

This printer ink subscription service seeks to deliver new ink cartridges to your doorstep before the printer even runs out of ink.

To use the service, you have to register and select a plan based on your printer usage. HP will then send you ink cartridges when your ink is running low, not necessarily every month.

You can only print the number of changes stipulated in your plan. Every page costs the same, regardless of colour or monochrome printing. You are able to cancel or change your plan at any time without any fees.

Instant Ink subscriptions start at S$1.90 per month for 10 pages. Pages unused are rolled over, if you happen to print less that month. However, the number of pages you can roll over differs from plan to plan.

HP claims that you can save up to 50% on HP original ink using the Instant Ink service. Used cartridges can be posted back to HP for recycling.

Currently, all users in Singapore can enjoy a free three-month trial with the purchase of a new printer. However, the Instant Ink service can only be used with eligible models of HP printers.
