Gaming brand Razer and watchmaker Fossil has joined forces to create a limited edition smartwatch, known simply as the Razer X Fossil Gen 6.
Based on Fossil’s Gen 6 model, which is the first to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 41000+ chipset, this Google Wear OS smartwatch is said to have a 30% performance boost over its direct predecessor like faster application loading time and more responsive user experience.
The Razer X Fossil Gen 6 features a 44mm black case with a 1.28-inch circular display and is water resistant down to 30m. There will be three exclusive Razer watch faces with a user interface inspired by Razer.
The smartwatch also includes two custom-designed and interchangeable 22mm silicone straps in Razer’s iconic black and green. In addition, the smartwatch will have wellness features such as Razer’s dedicated wellness initiatives for gamers, Champions Start From Within. Plus, the smartwatch will be eligible for the Wear OS 3 system update coming this year.
The Razer X Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch will be launching globally this month for US$329 in a limited quantity of just 1,337 units. No word on local pricing and availability.
