It seems like yesterday (actually, nearly two months) since Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S21 series was released. Today, the Korean tech giant has new additions to its mid-range A series smartphones with the Galaxy A32 5G and A52 5G.
Both A32 and A52 are Samsung’s most affordable 5G smartphones, allowing Singapore consumers to take advantage of the fast next-generation 5G networks at affordable costs.
On first look, both smartphones look similar but there are some differences.
While both smartphones feature a 6.5-inch display, the A52’s display has a higher resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels with faster 120Hz refresh rate compared to A32’s 60Hz display with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels. Higher refresh rates allow for smooth scrolling and less screen tearing when playing games.
In terms of its rear camera system, both A32 and A52 feature a quad-camera setup but the specifications are different. The A52 features a 64-megapixel (MP) wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP depth camera for better portrait photography and a 5MP macro camera for close-up shots.
On the other hand, the A32 has a 48MP wide-angle camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth camera and a 5MP Macro camera.
Plus, the A52 has a 32MP front-facing camera compared to A32’s 13MP front-facing camera.
The A52 comes in storage capacities of 128GB and 256GB. But the A32 only comes in 128GB storage with two different system memory variants of 4GB and 8GB. However, both smartphones support up to 1TB external storage via microSD card slot.

Available in four colours of black, blue, violet and white, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G will be available in Singapore from Mar 27 at prices of $548 (128GB version) and $648 (256GB version), with pre-order starting today exclusively on Lazada.
The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G will be available in Singapore on Apr 2 at prices of $348 (4GB RAM version) and $428 (8GB RAM version) with the same colour offerings of A52 5G.
