This young genius from India is blowing everyone’s minds with his talent and imagination. Rishi Shiv Prasanna, an 8-year-old from Bengaluru, just earned a big honor – the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Award for Innovations as an Android app developer. And that’s not all. This kid’s got it all – he’s not only an app developer, but also an author and YouTuber. And to top it off, he has an IQ of 180, which is higher than even Albert Einstein. He’s also one of the youngest members of Mensa International, the fancy society for geniuses. He even makes educational videos about science – talk about a well-rounded prodigy.
Rishi’s journey as a prodigy began early on when his nursery school teachers noticed his exceptional understanding and learning abilities. At just 3 years old, he was already talking about the solar system and universe, and by 5, he had already learned how to code. He’s now developed three mobile apps, including an IQ test app for kids, a Countries of the World app, and a Covid Helpline Bangalore app. He’s also written two books and is working on a new book in a series.
Rishi has had the incredible opportunity to meet the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister asked about Rishi’s apps and showed interest in helping with their execution. Rishi was also nicknamed “Pastaman” by Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, due to his love for pasta.
At just 5 years old, Rishi discovered his high IQ levels, but he’d already accomplished so much by that point. He believes that everyone has unique abilities and encourages others to explore their potential, with encouragement being the key to unlocking their full abilities.
Rishi’s accomplishments are amazing and truly inspiring for kids and adults alike, but it’s not always easy for his parents to keep up with his level of intelligence. Despite suggestions to place him in higher classes, his parents prioritize a normal childhood for him, feeling that interaction with kids his own age is crucial.
His father, Prasanna Kumar, shares, “It’s a challenge to keep up with Rishi’s intelligence, but we just encourage him in everything he does and try to keep him engaged. He’s very active and socializing with kids his own age is very important for him. We won’t compromise on that.”
Rishi’s incredible achievements at such a young age show that intelligence and creativity have no limits and that with encouragement and support, anyone can achieve their dreams. As he continues to make a big impact in the tech world and inspire others with his brilliance, the world is excited to see what he’ll achieve next.
And here I am, a full grown adult, not being able to decide what I’ll be having for lunch. Sigh.
