UK tech giant Dyson has opened a new Demo Store here at VivoCity today. It is not only the largest Dyson Demo Store in Singapore, it is also the largest in Southeast Asia.
The new Dyson Demo Store takes up an area of 178 square metres, or roughly the size of two four-room HDB flats, on the first floor of VivoCity. It opens daily from 10am to 10pm.
Inside the Demo Store, you can try all the products in Dyson’s repertoire before deciding to buy them. These products include the current models of Dyson’s vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, hair care and lighting series. For instance, you can test the Dyson V12 Detect Slim (see review) to check out its “sucking” power for yourself or marvel at the Dyson Lightcycle Morph light to see if it is perfect for your study or living room.
There is even a “hair salon” area called Beauty Lab, where hair care professionals are available to provide you with tips on how to look after your hair using Dyson hair care products.
The Beauty Lab is equipped with three styling stations. Each station comes with a wireless charging pad for charging your smartphone while a Dyson expert attends to you. In addition, there are touch-sensitive buttons that activate introduction video of corresponding Dyson hair care product. Complimentary in-store styling appointments can be booked online here.
The Demo Store at VivoCity also provides free engraving services to customise the cases of hair care products such as Airwrap and Corrale.
