DJI RS 4 and DJI RS 4 Pro announced

With the newest DJI RS 4 and RS 4 Pro stabilizers, they’ve taken feedback from industry pros over the past decade to drive innovation. The result? Next-gen tools that are more efficient and reliable than ever in design, stabilisation, and gimbal control.

Impressive Stabilisation

The DJI RS 4 is a beast when it comes to payload, handling up to 3kg of mirrorless camera gear with ease. It’s lightweight and comfortable to handle, even with hefty setups. Compared to its predecessor, it’s got more balancing space, so you can slap on extra accessories like ND filters for more creative freedom.

The RS 4’s stabilisation algorithm is top-notch, keeping your shots steady without sacrificing natural camera movement. It’s designed to handle different shooting scenarios, giving you great performance and a smooth experience. Plus, with the high-capacity battery grip, you can shoot for ages without worrying about running out of juice.

Quick Launch

The DJI RS 4 has a cool second-gen native vertical shooting mode and a redesigned gimbal horizontal plate that make switching to vertical shooting super smooth. This is a game-changer for efficiency when you’re creating videos.

It also has upgraded automated axis locks that make it quick to start up, switch modes, and pack away, all while keeping your footage super steady. The Teflon™ coating (yes, you read that right) on all three axes helps balance everything smoothly, and there’s a fine-tuning knob for those precise adjustments when you’re changing cameras or lenses.

Plus, it’s got this handy automatic screen lock on the OLED touchscreen to prevent any accidental taps and save battery life – super helpful!

And let’s not forget, it’s also great for vertical shooting, keeping your footage stable even in fast-paced or low-angle scenes.

DJI RS 4 Pro

On the pro side of things, the DJI RS 4 Pro is a definite champ, thanks to its reliable carbon fiber design, giving it an impressive 4.5kg payload capacity. It’s perfect for mainstream mirrorless and cinema camera setups.

Again with the Teflon™ coating and dual rolling bearings on the roll axis, along with a tilt axis fine-tuning knob, the RS 4 Pro lets you make super smooth, precise adjustments down to the millimeter.

It also comes with second-gen native vertical shooting, an auto-lock OLED touchscreen, and improved axis locks to minimise gimbal shakes. All these features combine to boost efficiency and performance for pro-level cinematographers.

Pro-level Versatility

The DJI RS 4 Pro is a game-changer for solo cinematographers, packed with cutting-edge features designed for efficient shooting. One of its key features is the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR Autofocus system, which includes the Focus Pro LiDAR and Focus Pro Motor. This system provides precise LiDAR autofocus, giving cinematographers more control in dynamic shooting scenarios.

With an impressive 76,800 ranging points, a 77% increase from the previous generation, the RS 4 Pro enhances human subject edge detection and reduces focus hunting. The gimbal also boasts a maximum human subject focusing distance of 20m, approximately three times that of its predecessor.

Next Gen Technology

The Next-Gen ActiveTrack Pro feature uses advanced AI algorithms and LiDAR technology to ensure steadfast subject tracking, even in challenging conditions. The RS 4 Pro is equipped with Dual Focus & Zoom Motors, along with the DJI Focus Pro Motor, providing native and precise lens control.

The remote-control system allows for seamless collaborative shooting, enabling remote gimbal operation and intelligent focus assistance. In collaborative team shooting scenarios, the gimbal operator can control the RS 4 Pro gimbal using devices like the DJI Master Wheels, DJI Ronin 4D Hand Grips, and DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor. The focus puller can utilize LiDAR Waveform on the High-Bright Remote Monitor for intelligent focus assistance, controlling focus precisely using the Focus Pro Hand Unit.

Whether you’re capturing intricate motion lapses, tracking subjects with precision, or exploring panoramic landscapes, the DJI RS 4 Pro empowers cinematographers to realise their most creative vision with confidence.

Both the DJI RS 4 and DJI RS 4 Pro is available now and can be purchased from respective DJI Authorised Retail Stores and Shopee.
