Asus gaming brand Republic of Gamers (ROG) unveiled a slew of new gaming laptops at CES 2022.
For a start, Asus showed off its brand-new ROG Strix SCAR that is designed with esports enthusiasts in mind. Available 15-inch and 17-inch models, the Strix SCAR is powered by top-tier components, such as 12th-generation Intel Core i9-12900H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop graphics processing unit (GPU).
The 15-inch SCAR has three IPS-level display choices with QHD 240Hz, FHD 300Hz, and QHD 165Hz, while the 17-inch SCAR offers QHD 240Hz and FHD 360Hz. These high refresh rates ensure no screen tearing or stuttering.
Next, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 gets an update with secondary display ScreenPad Plus rising up and sliding back to meet the primary display.
Compared to the previous generation, this closes the gap between the two displays for a seamless bezel-less experience. It also features AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU.
If you want something more normal, there is the ROG Zephyrus G14. It is armed with an AMD Ryzen 9 Series processor and AMD Radeon RX 6000S Series mobile GPUs. The laptop also features a MUX Switch to deliver outstanding performance and the best possible frame rates.
Again, the Zephyrus G14 will feature a Prismatic Logo nameplate with a holographic reflective hue. Its lid has 1,449 mini LEDs on models with the AniMe Matrix display, so you can customise the look of the machine.
Finally, you have the ROG Flow Z13, which Asus claims to be the world’s most powerful gaming tablet. It packs plenty of gaming horsepower in its ultra-thin and light chassis, with up to a 14-core Intel Core i9-12900H GPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPU and 5200MHz LPDDR5 memory.
The Flow Z13 can be used in multiple ways, from the traditional mouse and (included) screen cover keyboard to full touch input on its 13-inch screen. It has two display options: a 4K 60Hz display with 85% DCI-P3 coverage, or a FHD 120Hz screen with 100% sRGB coverage.
Local pricing and availability of these ROG laptops will be known at a later date.
