Bondee is a virtual avatar social app developed by Singapore-based tech firm Metadream. It allows users to interact with each other through a meta-universe environment, with the goal of creating a virtual world where users can “live with their friends.”
When using the Bondee app, users can customize their own personal 3D virtual avatar from a variety of options, including hairstyles, clothing and accessories. Users can also create their own virtual space or home, which can be furnished with a variety of furniture. In this space, users can share personal updates, moods, hobbies, and daily life events with their friends, who also have their own customizable avatars and virtual spaces. The app also includes an in-built instant messaging platform, where users can communicate with each other using their avatars, and can even add status updates, actions, or animations to make their interactions more lively.

The Bondee team is also developing additional creative items for the app’s metaverse. While the app itself is currently free to download, users must make in-app purchases with cash to acquire “B-beans” which can be used to purchase specific items. Additionally, given the metaverse nature of the app, it is possible that the team will include an NFT (non-fungible token) element in the future.
Bondee is now free for download via both the Apple app store and Google Play store.
Some people are even calling it the Gen Z’s Habbo Hotel. Whatever it is, it’s a lot of fun and you should already have an account, virtually hanging out with your friends there.
