The Apple Vision Pro has been a handy addition to my household, and apart from using it to work and explore new apps, I use it to watch shows too. Earlier this month, Apple launched a bunch of new immersive films for Vision Pro, and I only recently got to try them out.
Submerged
In Apple’s first scripted short film captured in Apple Immersive Video, Submerged is truly a work of art. Available to Vision Pro users for free, this immersive fiction thriller follows a crew on a WWII-era submarine as they combat a harrowing attack. Written and directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Edward Berger, this 17-min long thriller was shot on location in Prague, Brussels, and Malta over three weeks. “Apple Immersive Video is a wonderful new medium that expands the horizon of storytelling,”, said Edward Berger. He shares that Apple Vision Pro inspired him to tell a story in a way that was not possible before, and changed the way his team thinks when creating a story.
Submerged was filmed using a full-scale 23-ton submarine set made with real steel, brass, and metal that was modelled after WWII-era vessels. When watching the film on Vision Pro, you’d be fully immersed in the action, sparks, steam, water, and fire effects without any distractions.

Adventure
Adventure was one of the first immersive experiences that launched when Apple Vision Pro hit the market. Adventure showcases pioneering athletes on their awe-inspiring challenges, and brings viewers into a world that is never-seen-before. This was truly one of the most breathtaking visual experiences available, and new episodes will be updated in early 2025.
Elevated
Elevated, an aerial travel series launched earlier this month, and brings viewers on a delightful adventure to less discovered remarkable landscapes across the world. In the first episode, viewers are treated to an immersive journey flying over volcanoes, climbing up and over waterfalls and more across the world’s longest island chain, Hawaii. The next episode, ‘Maine’ which will launch early 2025, will bring viewers on a stunning journey along winding coastlines in New England.
2024 NBA All-Star Weekend
In early November, basketball fans will be treated to an immersive short film of the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend. Featuring the Rising Stars, the Slam Dunk contest, the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-Point Challenge, and highlights from the All-Star Game – this is definitely a game not to be missed!
All these immersive experiences are only exclusively available on the Apple Vision Pro. Before you go, check out our review of the Apple Vision Pro here.
