What a time to be alive. The Weeknd announced earlier this week that he is releasing a first-of-its-kind immersive music experience on the Apple Vision Pro. The trailer of Open Hearts looked impressive, so the thought of watching this on Apple Vision Pro sounded incredibly promising.
This isn’t the first time The Weeknd worked with using Apple products, for the Apple ecosystem of devices to enjoy. Previously, the director of Open Hearts, Anton Tammi, also directed Dancing In the Flames, which was shot entirely on iPhone 16 Pro Max by Erik Henriksson and edited on Mac.

Open Hearts was captured in Apple Immersive Video – a 180-degree media format that leverages ultra-high-resolution immersive video and Spatial Audio to draw the audience into the heart of the action.
I gave it a go when it launched, and trust me when I say – my goosebumps took me by surprise when the vivid imagery surrounded me on Apple Vision Pro. The entire experience was insanely immersive and I felt my heart palpitate a few times. !!! was quite literally how I felt – you should book an Apple Vision Pro demo to check it out for yourself.
Apple Immersive Video uniquely augments the way fans can enjoy music performances, and The Weeknd: Open Hearts is just one of the latest installments to the growing catalog on Apple Vision Pro for free.
Concert for One is the next to debut globally on 22 Nov, Fri – featuring intimate performances from the world’s biggest artists.
