8 Apple Vision Pro Apps You Should Check Out

The Apple Vision Pro has been available in the Singapore market for more than a month now, and many have been asking me if I use it daily. The short answer, is yes. The long answer, however, is that I use it diligently for 1-2 hours every night, and yet, I still constantly find new apps and new experiences. Here are 8 of my favorite Apple Vision Pro apps.

Apple Vision Pro Sky Guide

Sky Guide (Entertainment)

Trust the Apple Vision Pro to deliver one of the most immersive experiences one can ever encounter. Sky Guide is one of those apps, where you’d feel completely immersed in the wonders of stargazing. Before you land in that fully immersive state, you’d be prompted to select a time and scene – of which, you’d get to choose either City, Mountain, or Ocean in 3 different times of the day. I thoroughly enjoyed spending a bit of time in this app, just lost in stargazing and letting the world fall away.

Apple TV (Entertainment)

People talk about how amazing it is to watch shows on the Apple Vision Pro especially with Apple TV, and boy, they are not wrong. Allow yourself to fully live the lives of the characters that are blown up on your screen, right in front of you, as you take a break from work (or life, in general).

Apple Vision Pro LEGO

LEGO® Builder’s Journey (Gaming)

This is one of those games on Apple Arcade where I found it difficult to stop playing. LEGO® Builder’s Journey felt very much like a real journey that is brought to life with intricately rendered LEGO® elements within the spatial environment on the Vision Pro. What I liked the most was how the game is engineered with prompts and clues at times, and at others, I could freely express my creativity.

Apple Vision Pro Cityscapes Sim Builder

Cityscapes: Sim Builder (Gaming)

I have been playing Cityscapes: Sim Builder on both my iPad and iMac, and when I saw it pop up in the App Store in Apple Vision Pro, I could not resist it. After I downloaded it, I quickly realized that there was no other way to play Cityscapes in future, but on the Apple Vision Pro. The UI and UX elements are stunning on Vision Pro, and it felt like I was building my city with my own hands. I absolutely love this game.

Apple Vision Pro Warped Kart Racers

Warped Kart Racers (Gaming)

Another gem from Apple Arcade, Warped Kart Racers is kind of insane to play on Vision Pro. Bringing you into a completely different gameplay, making the motion of gripping your hands around an imaginary steering wheel and turning left or right allows you to control the direction of the car while accelerating is automatic. It almost feels like you’re at the arcade playing a racing game, and this can be done at the comfort of your own living room.

Apple Vision Pro BP Explore Sampler

BP Explore Sampler (Travel)

I stumbled upon Blueplanet Explore Sampler during one of my nightly adventures in the App Store, looking for new Vision Pro apps to download. With 5 samples from over 80 spatial experiences available, BP Explore Sampler showcases a magnificent number of scenic and cultural heritage locations globally. When I tried it out, I felt like I was thrown into a full-on spatial exploration mode – and even my breathing sounded amplified when I was in one of the caves.

Apple Vision Pro Encounter Dinosaurs

Encounter Dinosaurs (Spatial AR)

Only available for Apple Vision Pro, Encounter Dinosaurs is one of those experiences where you’d walk away mindblown. An unbelievably interactive experience, the giants that appear right in front of your face will seem to semi-interact with you as you reach your hand out in your physical space and feel like you are ‘touching’ them. Words will not do the experience justice – you definitely should try this out on the Vision Pro for yourself.

Apple Vision Pro Syky

Syky (Lifestyle)

Syky was an interesting app for me to explore, as it brought me into a spatial reality mode where Anrealage’s renowned color-changing dress from Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ tour was right in front of me. As if I could really touch it, I was able to spin it around with simple gestures, and bring it closer to me so that I could see the intricate details of the design.

Apple Vision Pro Lake Vrangla Environment

Lake Vrangla Environment

Apple recently released a new Environment for the Vision Pro called Lake Vrangla, which is close to Oslo in Norway.

Apple Vision Pro Lake Vrangla Environment

The new Lake Vrangla Environment is available to all Vision Pro users with a simple download in the Environments tab. Word on the street is that Apple will be releasing the Bora Bora Environment later this year in visionOS 2, completing the full 13 listed options.

Apple Vision Pro Panorama Photo

Panorama Photos

This panorama photo was captured more than 7 years ago on one of my vacations, and before I started using the Vision Pro, I’d never think of going back to relive panoramic memories. On the Vision Pro, panorama photos look incredibly HD – even when they were not captured on the latest iPhone. Mind-blowing.

While I’ve been using the Vision Pro nightly, I’m impatiently excited for new apps to join the Vision Pro ecosystem. Thankfully, there is no doubt that the tech giant will be rolling out some exciting updates with visionOS 2 later this year.

The Apple Vision Pro is available at all Apple Store locations in Singapore and Apple Store online.
