Dyson has updated its Supersonic hair dryer with a new attachment called Flyaway. It harnesses the Coanda effect – a phenomenon whereby a fluid jet has the tendency to stay attached to a convex surface – to keep hair flyaways away.
The convex-shaped Flyaway attachment works by attracting and lifting longer hairs to the front, while pushing the flyaways through the tress and out of sight.

Hiding these flyaways increases strand alignment and enhances natural shine, according to Dyson.
Otherwise, the Supersonic hair dryer (S$599) is still the same model with a Dyson digital motor V9 that spins at 110,000rpm to deliver high-pressure and high-velocity jet of controlled air for fast drying and precision styling. But the new machines come with the Flyaway attachment.
If you already own a Supersonic, you can buy the new Flyaway attachment separately at S$49. The Flyaway attachment is fully compatible with all existing models of the Dyson Supersonic.
